It was a really good book and a good intro to the series

WOW! What a story! I am not usually one that reads fantasy but I was pleasantly surprised with this book. Now I am hooked and will definitely be reading the rest of the series. What I loved most about this book was that even though it was fantasy, I would also consider it a mystery too. Even though it is written in third person, it is as if readers are taking the journey with Sophie. Readers only learn things and get answers to questions as Sophie does. There were so many times where I was screaming at the book asking for answers, which only made me want to read more. This book also has a lot of fantastic fantasy elements but for those who may not be huge fantasy readers, this book is a great one to start with. The fantasy elements almost felt believable. The characters have different powers like mind reading, vanishing, feeling emotions and there were animals that seem mythical or unreal to us but are just normal pets in this world. I really loved reading how Sophie learns of this new world since she grew up with humans and it feels as though we as readers are experiencing it the same way as we have to understand what is "normal" in this new world compared to the human world. Sophie is clearly a character with strength and bravery and I can't wait to see all that happens next as she continues to live and thrive in this new world. If you are looking for a good adventure and mystery book with some beautiful fantasy elements, this is the book for you!!

Un début un peu riche en information mais la suite vaut le détour !On suit l'aventure de Sophie dans un tout nouveau monde et elle a de super pouvoir !Après avoir passer le début avec son lot d'explication sur le nouvel univers à travers Sophie on découvre des personnages attachants, des lieux qui ont l'air d'être MAJESTUEUX et l'intrigue qui se déroule avec un bon enchaînement dès que l'intrigue s'est lancé je ne me suis pas ennuyé une seule seconde !Mon petit coup de cœur durant ma lecture est vraiment pour le personnage de Dex, le meilleur ami de Sophie et qui l'accompagne pour pas mal d'aventure.Sophie est encore jeune, elle commence à avoir pas mal de responsabilité et je comprend totalement ses actions et sa manière d'agir, pour le moment le personnage est cool à suivre !
