In its third volume, A Clean Well-Lighted Place pushes the innovation and diversity it has become known for to its highest level to date. This issue includes inspiring work by emerging and established writers alike. The journal was founded in 2011 under the guiding aesthetic of cleanliness, and this issue proclaims the constancy of that goal. Each work displays in its own way precision of thought and meticulous crafting of sound and language. This issue continues to demonstrate the publication's ability to bring light to relatively unread and under-appreciated sectors of the literary community. It hopes to foster the craft of upstart poets and writers like Tim Suermondt, Aaron Crippen, and Sarah Sloat so they may usher in a new and exciting literary future.
