Moving from the absurd to the ridiculous these musings of a ludicrous know-all make a moral fundamentalist look like a debauched libertine. The subject has a burning desire to convert the world to his way of thinking. The only problem is his way of thinking. His efforts to influence those he meets are defeated by his total inability to realise just what the situation is. His assessment of the resulting mayhem is made within the confines of his belief system which includes, as fundamental precepts, that while the world at large is a slough of immorality, those in authority are morally unassailable, any enjoyment of life is by definition immoral, and self-indulgence is a potential cess pit, exacerbated by the modern move away from cold baths and the use of yellow soap for all household and personal cleansing. The underpinning and all-pervasive ingredient in this hopeless conglomeration of nonsense being the universal and baleful influence of what he terms carnal lusts.

The convoluted interpretations and personal misery this inflicts upon him make it difficult to know whether to ridicule his ridiculous drivel or pity him for the pathos of his self-inflicted discomfort. Though outlandish in the extreme, his interpretations of what he sees as exemplary behaviour by public officials and those generally in the public eye serve only, unwittingly, to undermine his ludicrous assumptions. In a nutshell - a most unusual and plain funny diary of a caricature of a self-righteous, dim-witted bigot in a setting of subtle humour.
