説明

In her latest literary endeavor, Connie Willis weaves together a gripping narrative that explores the depths of time travel and its consequences on human experience. Set against a backdrop of history and the darker moments of the past, the story follows characters who navigate the complexities of their missions while confronting the uncertainties of their own destinies. The interplay of suspense and emotional depth is palpable as the characters grapple with the moral dilemmas of their actions.

Katherine Kellgren's exceptional narration breathes life into Willis's intricate world, enhancing the reader's immersion into this richly crafted tale. The tension builds as the characters' paths intertwine, revealing the delicate balance between intervention and observation in their historical journeys. The story poses profound questions about choice, responsibility, and the echoes of history that resonate through time, ensuring readers remain captivated until the very last page.

English time travel. WW2. Funny. Moving.

Loved it loved it loved it. Did I save I loved it?Time travel and WWII. Fab-u-lous. It had me gripped right from the outset. The scenes set in WWII brought the whole era and events to life. Clearly a lot of research had gone into the era particularly in terms of how people behaved. The Blitz was not a period I had learnt about in much detail but it vividly brought to life what it was like for people in London especially.Shame that book itself had no real ending instead runs straight to the next book [b:All Clear (All Clear, #2)|7519231|All Clear (All Clear, #2) (Oxford Time Travel, #4)|Connie Willis|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320549311s/7519231.jpg|9735628]which I am downloading immediately!
