Anita Blake is trying to get her life back to “normal” after a break-up with her werewolf lover. She has settled into a pattern of domesticity, which means that the new man in her life, the leopard shapeshifter Micah, has no problem sharing her with Jean-Claude, Master Vampire of the City. Things are as peaceful as they ever get for someone who raises the dead, when Jean-Claude receives an unexpected and unwelcome visitor: Musette, the very beautiful, very twisted representative of the European Council of Vampires. Anita soon finds herself caught up in a dangerous game of vampire power politics.
To add to her troubles, she is asked to consult on a series of brutal killings, which seem to be the work of something un-human. The investigation leads her to Cerulean Sins, a vampire-run establishment that deals in erotic videos, videos that cater to very specific tastes. Anita knows one creature of the night who has such interests — Jean-Claude’s visitor. But if Anita brings Musette down, the repercussions could cost her everything she holds dear.
Once a sworn enemy of all monsters, Anita is now the human consort of both Master Vampire Jean Claude and leopard shapeshifter Micah. When a centuries-old vampire hits St. Louis, Anita finds herself needing all the dark forces her passion can muster to save the ones she loves.
Anita Blake returns to find hell hath no fury like a vampire scorned.

すべて表示There are a lot of people who Are getting Turned off these Books From the Introduction of this thing called the Ardeur.I'm Not One of themBasically Belle Morte Jean Claude's Master and Some Vampires of her Bloodline aquire a version of Belle's Ardeur. You had to of read Narcissus in Chains to fully understanded the hows whos and why's of the Ardeur. But Lets Just Say Belle herself Makes an Appearance in this Book, oh and Marmee Noir as well. they do a whole Heap of Vampire messing around with poor anita (it's like she is some toy)and Anita Ends up Having another Lover.look I love this new Ardeur Twist. I'm ok with the Copious amounts of Sex(in a way i'm Jealous!).But Underneath it is the Same Anita.
I very much struggled to decide between 1 and 2 stars for this book, and it was only due to the fact that I was almost able to finish this book that it got a 2. I have loved reading the previous Anita Blake novels (they were cheesy but still very enjoyable) however this book ruined the serious for me. I feel as though this book completely changed Anita Blake’s character to the point of ruination. Previously Anita Blake was a badass who didn’t take crap from anyone, didn’t need a man, and even was modest in her relationships. Bring along cerulean sins, and that all changes, sure Anita still is a badass, but who takes lots of crap (namely her police buddies) and is all about sex. I mean literally ALL about sex with pretty much every single male character that has and will be introduced to her, because everyone wants her. This book just took away from the previous plots and left Anita Blake as not a badass heroine, but as someone who only cares and thinks about sex and her partners and why they should or shouldn’t be having sex with her. I recommend this to readers who really want to see the Anita Blake seriously till the end or readers who really enjoy reading about sex and characters who have a lot of partners.
My least favorite Anita Blake book and honestly the las one I'm going to read. I do not mind erotic literature but the entire story seems to be about Anita needing sex at this point and I just can't read it without laughing anymore.
