説明

A woman awakens in an unfamiliar place, grappling with a profound sense of fear and disorientation. Stripped of her identity, she cannot recall her name or the life she once led. As shadows from her past loom over her, the urgency to remember crescendos, turning her journey into a thrilling race against time.

In a world where her only companion is anxiety, she navigates the murky waters of her existence, piecing together fragmented memories and clues that hint at a darker truth. Encounters with enigmatic figures add to the suspense, revealing layers of intrigue full of unexpected twists.

Her quest for self-discovery delves deep into the nature of fear itself, challenging not just her understanding of who she is but also who she may become. Each revelation pulls stark contrasts between light and darkness, hope and despair, as she struggles to reclaim her lost identity amidst the chaos.

Overall not terrible, but definitely not the kind of book I was hoping for. The overall mystery was fine, there were some good moments and convoluted revelations as others mentioned, but what really lowered the rating for me were the characters. I really wanted to like Josie, and I did at the beginning but as the story progressed I just grew more frustrated. I understand she was under stress, as this case was deeply personal but I can't help but think she could've handled herself and her reactions to people a bit differently. Also, as other people have also said, I think it would be very valuable to read the first in the series - which I did not.
