Sir George and Lady Stubbs are giving a village fete in their grounds ... a fete with a difference. Adriane Oliver, well-known mystery writer, is to organise the main event - a Murder Hunt.
Every detail is arranged with her customary flair and ingenuity - and the scene is set for murder.
But Ariadne Oliver is uncomfortable, something is not quite right, if only she knew what it was! She telephones her old friend, Hercule Poirot, for assistance.
