After bonding with female entities known to the outside world as shades, he has been granted powers beyond those of mortal men. Increased speed, the ability to create duplicates of himself, as well as a magical sword crafted from godmetal - just to name a few.
And Gray is not the only one with powers. Each woman who has come to him, confided in him, and vowed to join him possesses their own unique gifts.
With a plan to infiltrate the royal city and dethrone the false king, Gray expects to succeed. Those lurking in the shadows, the true masters behind the royal pretender, will do anything to stop him.
