説明

Katniss Everdeen emerges from the brutal arena of the Hunger Games, having defied the odds and claimed victory against all expectations. However, her triumph comes at a steep price, shrouded in turmoil and the weight of her choices. The world of Panem is far from celebratory, as the signs of unrest and rebellion simmer beneath the surface, threatening the fragile peace that has been established.

While Katniss grapples with her newfound fame and the potential role of the reluctant symbol she has become, her relationships are tested, especially with Peeta Mellark. Their complicated bond now serves as an emotional battlefield, trapped between survival and the haunting memories of the Games. As the oppressive grip of the Capitol tightens, Katniss finds herself caught in a web of political machinations and personal dilemmas, pushing her to become more than just a victor.

Amidst the chaos, Katniss must decide where her loyalties lie and confront the reality of her impact on a society yearning for change. With each decision, she moves closer to a confrontation that could alter the course of history, testing not only her strength but the strength of those around her.

Really good, once again great plot, pacing, and writing style. A lot of scenes that we were robbed of in the movies, specifically before the games

I felt like although I loved the story, the writing with a little off from the last book. it was almost as if her editor made her cut out parts of the book because it was too long.

It's been over a decade since I first read this series. I picked the series up again because I finally got my hands on copies of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping. This book is just as good as the first time I read it. It's slightly less action-packed than the first book but boy isn't it more emotional. There's more trauma, more angst and Finnick Odair. I'm just glad this is a reread and I can jump straight into the next book after that cliffhanger!
