Fire on the Mountain

3.75 ⭐s An educational read. Good, interesting, just not necessarily a fun read. I appreciated the intro by Mumia Abu-Jamal since it prompted me to learn who he was. I attempt to be well-educated and expand my horizons even though the horrors of reality are especially trying for my already not so great mental health mostly as a result of my severe chronic illnesses.

This was really disappointing. Fire premise but the execution just wasn't there. About a third of the way through I thought about putting it down because it was boring and I generally don't like white authors that write Black characters. But because the author is a socialist I decided to keep reading. It picked up in the final third but by then I was just happy to be almost done.
