“Hai una foresta nelle ossa. Un cimitero sotto i piedi. Non ci sono eroi qui”Questo libro prende spunto per alcuni aspetti da Cappuccetto Rosso, ma i riferimenti maggiori sono alla Bella e la Bestia.È un romanzo dai toni molto cupi e non mancano passaggi in cui lo scenario è quasi violento. Penso possa rientrare perfettamente nella definizione di dark fantasy. Il romance c’è, la tensione tra i due si sente ma non è l’elemento cardine perché la storia è quasi più politica e per me il vero protagonista è il Wilderwood, intrigante, affascinante ed estremamente pericoloso. I personaggi li trovo ben caratterizzati, ho apprezzato l’iniziale rassegnazione di Red e la sua maturità nel capire cosa è giusto non solo per se stessa ma ad un livello più ampio. Eammon…… va beh non penso servano parole per lui: BOOK CRUSH assoluta!!! Non ho apprezzato particolarmente gli interludi con il pov di Neve, probabilmente anche per il fatto che non essendo il libro dedicato a lei trovo che non sia stata approfondita più di tanto come figura, quindi li ho trovati lenti e a tratti anche un po' noiosi, anche se capisco che fossero necessari per la scorrevolezza della trama.Direi che non vedo l’ora di leggere il seguito.
