Hard Luck

Blake wakes up alone and rushes off to Rachelle’s apartment to find her and make her stop acting so foolishly. She’s long gone though and she won’t answer his calls. In despair, he heads back to Lubbock, heartbroken and feeling tired.

Rachelle visits her grandparents and when that doesn’t make her feel any better, she heads to Houston to talk to Max. He and she both spent time in the same children’s home and he’s the closest thing to a brother she has. If anyone can help her understand her confusion over feeling so much love for another person, it would be him.

Max talks to her about how hard it was for him to let himself feel deeply for Lexi, but how it made him a better person, a whole person. She realizes she has to allow Blake into her heart. She goes to him in Lubbock, surprising him for a change.
