I don’t remember when a book held me captive like that, my nerves are tingling and I am genuinely worried about what happens next. Wtfff I want a calm life, not all this stress. The way this book is written is brilliant, all these flashbacks just make you constantly think “why the hell things can’t be like they were before” uuurgh unbelievably good book with tons of emotional damage

"Late but worth the wait!

Insatiable by Leigh Rivers is an easy and fast read, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. After seeing so many positive reviews, I hoped for much more, but the story felt long and repetitive, and I struggled to stay engaged. While it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t leave a strong impression, and I’m not sure yet if I’ll continue the trilogy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“Because you’re hiding, and I want to hide with you.” I caress her cheek and press my lips to her forehead, catching her off guard. “Let’s hide together, Freckles.”A tale of love bordering on obsession, steeped in betrayal, trauma, and danger.Insatiable follows Kade, a man obsessed with someone he believes he hates—someone who betrayed him. Stacey Rhodes was once Kade’s entire world, until one night ends in devastating consequences that transform love into resentment. When the two are pulled back into each other’s orbit, Kade must decide whether he’s willing to break all his rules, and Stacey must decide if she’s willing to let him. This was my first dark romance in a while, and it was a refreshing change of pace. I flew through this book and jumped straight into the rest of the series almost immediately after finishing book one. I was completely hooked by the characters and everything they had going on—and there was a lot. Between Kade’s ice-cold exterior and deep trust issues, and Stacey’s trauma and constant fear, there was never a dull moment. While I’m usually not a fan of the miscommunication trope, and I did find myself frustrated at times wishing the characters would just talk, it was handled fairly well overall. My biggest complaint is that much of what happens feels unrealistic, and due to the nature of the story, I often forgot how young Kade and Stacey are—they read much older given everything they’ve endured.Overall, this was a captivating, fast-paced read that ends on a cliffhanger, and I was very glad I waited to start the series until all the books were released.Tropes: morally black characters, obsessive love, spicy, trauma, psychological tensionI’d recommend this to fans of dark romance and darker themes. Please check trigger warnings, as this book covers very heavy topics, including abuse, SA, and violence.

Insatiable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You know it's going to be good when the dedication says:✨“For the good girls who like to dance in the dark while being watched by the devil.”✨Yeah. I was seated immediately.✨ Tropes:• second chance romance• enemies to lovers• lovers → enemies → lovers• forbidden• morally dark MMC• trauma, obsession, chaosThe story follows Kade Mitchell and Stacey Rhodes, who fell in love at fifteen, had everything implode, and years later collide again explosively. There is history here. Deep hurt. Lingering trauma. Every interaction feels charged.🎧I listened to this book from start to finish and I genuinely cannot imagine consuming it any other way. The duet narration brought so much intensity and emotional depth to every scene. Kade’s spirals felt heavier. Stacey’s anger hit harder. The chemistry was electric. If you’re an audiobook person at all, this one is elite.🖤 Kade MitchellThis man ruined me. His POVs were difficult to listen to because of how raw and painful they were. He’s morally dark, violently unhinged, and only soft around Stacey. He saves his firsts for her. He constantly checks himself to make sure he isn’t being toxic or manipulative. His vulnerability exists for one person only and Leigh Rivers executed that perfectly.🚩Is he a walking red flag? Yes.Am I colorblind? Also yes.🔥 Stacey RhodesI was unsure at first, but the more we learned about her past, the more I understood her. She’s traumatized, guarded, and refuses to fold. Despite everything, she stands her ground every single time. Backbone of steel. No shrinking. EXACTLY the kind of FMC I want in an enemies to lovers.📖 Their dynamic: Volatile. Messy. Addictive. Every scene between them is soaked in history and unresolved pain. When they clash, it hurts. When they touch, it burns. The possessiveness is unhinged and emotionally devastating in the best way.Quotes that live rent free in my head:“I felt alive for the first time when I had Stacey.”“She’s the girl I watch. The girl I obsess over until I feel like I’m going fucking insane.”The “I would burn the world but still ask if you’re okay” energy destroyed me. 💔⚠️ There is a miscommunication trope, which usually makes me want to scream “JUST SAY SOMETHING,” but here it felt intentional. I trusted the process and it didn't take away from my enjoyment.🌶️ Leigh Rivers writes top-tier smut.Filthy. Emotional. Perfectly placed. The hate fucking? Absolutely nailed. No notes.📚This book was everything I needed. I’m already bracing myself for book two because I’ve heard it’s going to emotionally wreck me.LEIGH RIVERS.FUCKING WOW. 🤌🏽Sn: my review for book two is already out 💔

This book is HOOOOT! Like, truly, intensely hot 🔥🥵I don't even know how, but amidst all that incredible sex, there is also a plot!I'm posting this review now that I've finished the series. With the benefit of hindsight, I should have listened to all the songs mentioned in the books as I read them.By doing this, the author has created a masterpiece. The songs all have meaning in that specific moment of the story, or they set the perfect mood for the scene.I would read the entire series again just to do that! So, if you are reading this review and decide to go ahead and read the series, please follow my advice. There are playlists on Spotify for each book. You won't regret it!
