Returning to the City of London, after five years of exile in New York, Tony Fenton is mugged and injured. The Police suggest that somebody is trying to kill him. Doubting this Tony continues to build his new business but things go wrong. The business stops growing and he finds that somebody is systematically trying to steal his clients and things go from bad to worse when a bomb is planted in his office.

Unable to identify who is doing this Tony suspects that an insider is stealing his information and using it against him. He calls in a favour from an old friend and they investigate the information theft. Then the stakes are raised further when he is framed for murder and is forced to go on the run.

While covertly Investigating how the information is being stolen Tony discovers he is in the middle of a plot so large and so complex that it takes his breath away. With no idea of who is pulling the strings he needs all his skills and a lot of help if he is going to identify the shadowy insider and set the record straight.
