Koganei Koito is no ordinary shrine maiden. Balancing her responsibilities at the Takamimi Shrine, she also navigates the challenges of being a teenager. In a twist of fate, her life takes a peculiar turn when she encounters an enigmatic elf, a creature of folklore who seems to have taken a liking to the shrine and its caretaker. This elf, however, is not the elegant being one might expect; instead, he embodies the playful and obsessive nature of an otaku, with an insatiable appetite for everything geeky.
As Koito attempts to manage her duties and the elf's quirky demands, she finds herself embroiled in a world that blurs the lines between reality and the fantastical. The elf's obsession with anime and gaming leads to humorous situations, transforming everyday shrine activities into whimsical adventures. Each encounter not only reveals the elf's eccentric personality but also deepens Koito's understanding of her own desires and aspirations.
Through their interactions, Koito learns to embrace the unexpected and the joy of exploring her passions. With a charming blend of modern otaku culture and traditional shrine life, the story unfolds, inviting readers into a captivating realm where friendships and self-discovery flourish amidst chaos and laughter.
