説明

In a world where technology rules and human connection wanes, the haunting echoes of a forgotten society stir. This gripping tale pulls readers into a deep and atmospheric exploration of existence amid an unsettling backdrop. The characters navigate their realities with varying degrees of hope and despair, leaving one to ponder what it truly means to thrive in a decaying world.

Martha Wells deftly weaves a narrative that resonates with both urgency and intimacy. Her vivid descriptions paint scenes that feel both familiar and alien, making the reader question their own relationship with the advancing tide of technology. Each character's journey is painfully relatable, drawing upon universal themes of longing and resilience.

As the plot unfolds, the fragility of human relationships surfaces, challenging characters to confront their own truths. The stark contrast between the digital and the organic pulses throughout the story, creating a poignant commentary on modern life. Readers will find themselves entranced, unable to put down the pages until the last lingering word.

I love this series and I've been so excited for this book. Having read the graphic audio up until now, I do have to say I missed it with this book, since I wanted to read it too soon to wait for the graphic audio. Overall though, while it was still good, it wasn't my favorite. I loved the cute moments Murderbot had with his humans, and some moments were fun, but I do feel that some areas felt forced. I do think I'm gonna come back to it and listen to the whole series again when the graphic audio comes out.
