Practical reliability engineering

Revised and expanded, this work has been updated to reflect the enormous changes that have taken place in the field. Greater prominence has been given to the complete integration of the processes that influence quality and reliability in product specification, design, test, manufacture and support as well as the essentials inherent in the understanding and control of variation, as it relates to product performance, cost and reliability. The chapter on the use of statistical experimentation has been expanded as have the chapters on production quality assurance and management. Electronic systems reliability has been updated and there's even a new chapter on the reliabililty of mechanical components and systems. Included for the first time is the important work done by Taguchi and Shainin.
