The second book was definitely better than the first one, but it still lacked many things. Nikolai's presence was one of the key factors that helped me finish this book. The thing is, I love the atmosphere, I love the storyline, and I also love Alina. But to be honest, 1/2 of the book (the middle part) could've been a lot better. It wouldn't hurt the story even if it was minimized to far fewer chapters; and the finishing part became a bit longer.
Puntuación: 8,25/10En primer lugar, este libro es verdad que lo leí hace un tiempo ya, pero lo disfrute muchísimo, y probablemente es el que mas me gusto de la trilogía principal, porque al contrario que el libro anterior, la tensión lucha, etc, se nos muestran ya desde el comienzo de la historia, contándonos, cómo después de todo lo ocurrido en el libro anterior, Mal y Alian intentan sobrevivir.Tengo que admitir, que respecto al libro anterior, Leigh Bradugo mejoró considerablemente respecto a la escritura del libro anterior, no obstante, sigo pensando y defendiendo el que haya distintos puntos de vista de los personajes de la historia.Por otro lado, tengo que decir que los distintos personajes en este libro tiene más protagonismo que en el anterior, además de que la intrusión del personaje de Nicolai en la historia, le da mucho margen a la escritora para desarrollar su saga y darle aún más importancia a ciertas tramas que ocurren en ella.En este libro se nos muestra como después de Alina escapar de las fauces del oscuro y dejarle a merced de la oscuridad, emprende un viaje muy peligroso en el que intenta descubrir el paradero del segundo amplificador de Morozova, lo cual le ayudará a destruir la sombra. Pero hay un problema, y es que ella sigue unida al oscuro por el otro amplificador, y se descubre que este después de ser derrotado dentro de la sombra, sus poderes aumentan considerablemente, pero estos también le hacen más débil.Tengo que decir que al igual que el libro anterior, es un que recomiendo fervientemente a los fans de lo fantástico, la aventura y la acción y si quieren seguir descubriendo sobre esta maravillosa saga.
3.5 stars. I loved this book. I read it in one sitting and ate it up. I wasnt a fan of the main relationship at this point but I was loving the world, the writing, the magic, a lot of the characters.
