Life is strange. One minute you’re caught up in the repetition of it and the next your dreams are suddenly coming true.

That’s exactly what happened to me. In a week I’m leaving to study art in Paris for an entire year. It’s an opportunity to explore the darker side of my creativity.

Just as I’m about to embark on this journey, the universe decides to drop the perfect man in my lap. The timing couldn’t be worse, but we decide to enjoy the week we have and then go our separate ways.

Back to the part about life being strange. Did you know that if you make a wrong turn, it has a way of self-correcting?

One minute I was helping my brother and the next I was staring at the prettiest girl in the world.

She was perfect. I was excited to get to know her until she told me she was going to Paris for a year. It sucked. I still made the most of our week together. She was the right girl. It was just the wrong time.

Dropping her off at the airport was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I really did hope for her time in Paris to be everything she expected and more.

However, life must have had other plans because it’s only been a few weeks and she’s back where she belongs … in my arms.

The timing wasn’t wrong at all.
