This series lost me... somewhere along the way I was no longer interested in what Nona and the other sisters were up to. So I put the book aside and promised myself I would take up the audio version. And I did...I did it after I listened to the Nevernight series by Jay Kristoff and let me tell you these two series are ridiculously similar in certain things - especially the second Ancestor book:BoA - NevernightRed Sister - Red Churchlittle pet demon (of the ancient) - little pet cat shadow (of the ancient)Blade class - Blade classPoison class - Poison Shadow class - Nevernight is all about shadows and manipulating themChasing the ancient for "The Moon" - chasing the shiphearts for the sake of "The Moon", etcI drew sooo many similarities, it was becoming interesting to listen just to see what more there will be to it. Coincidence? I am one to believe that all has a meaning, I'm still to figure out why I stumbled upon and read both these series one after another.
