説明
For the ancient Egyptians, life was built around the waters of the Nile River. The farmers set their schedules to the river's seasonal changes. During the times when the Nile flooded its banks, farmers and other workers could work on the many impressive construction projects done in ancient times, such as the pyramids at Giza, that we marvel at today. This book explores ancient Egypt through its social structure. It takes a look at its people and details the duties of a pharaoh, the activities of mummy makers, and much more. It also describes some of the discoveries and writings that have led to our present-day understanding of this fascinating civilization.
