説明

Set in 19th-century Russia, this profound novel follows the story of Prince Lev Nikolayevich Myshkin, a man whose innate kindness and honesty stand in stark contrast to the moral complexities of society around him. As the titular "idiot," Myshkin embodies pure goodness, often misunderstood and mocked by those who are ensnared by ambition, wealth, and deceit. His return to St. Petersburg ignites a series of events filled with passion, rivalry, and heart-wrenching choices that challenge the characters' understanding of love, friendship, and the human condition.

Through deeply introspective dialogues and intricate character developments, Dostoevsky weaves a tale that is both a social critique and a poignant exploration of the nature of humanity. The narrative invites readers to grapple with existential questions about morality and the human spirit, making it a timeless classic that resonates with contemporary issues, as Myshkin navigates a world abundant with both beauty and cruelty.

Sophisticated topics the signature sign of DostoevskyTo save someone you need to truly love them. Myshkin feels sorry for Nastasya and Rogozin feels passion towards her.Myshkin - JesusRogozin- devilThe only positive woman character in this novel is Vera Lebedeva. It’s always though to read Dostoevsky because he re opens your soul and force you to dig deeper until you start to reflect what a sinner you are. This book also shows how Russian society is sick and is not ready for the second Jesus appearance.

At this point in time, I find the story confusing. The characters confusing and doesn't make sense to me why they did what they have done. So I have decided to drop it and maybe in the future I can pick it up again with a better comprehension skill.
