The Last Conquest

After the collapse of the Saxons at the Battle of Hastings, the future of the kingdom of England once again hangs in the balance as the Norman army invades from the south and ravages a defenceless and broken land.

In the west, the young Saxon Lord Eldric is plotting a counter-attack, and he raises an army and rides east to fight the enemy at the Battle of London. Driven by a sense of honour and revenge, he decides to wage a personal war against the invaders that in his heart he knows he can never win.

The Last Conquest is a full-length novel about a war that changed world history and is a story of honour, conflict, and the dying days of an England now long faded into the past. Solidly based on real events, it is the first novel of a series describing the story of William the Conqueror's invasion and occupation of England. The second novel in the series is due to be published in 2013.
