4.5⭐I really, really liked this.Dean was exactly the kind of character I expected to love, and I absolutely did. The banter between him and Allie was probably my favorite part of the book. They were so much fun together, the chemistry was great and I loved watching something that was supposed to be completely casual turn into Dean being completely, embarrassingly gone for her.I also really liked Allie, and I loved that their relationship actually felt like a relationship, not just two hot people being thrown together for 300 pages. My main issue is that it did feel a bit too long. I was enjoying it the whole time, but there were definitely moments where I thought we could move things along a little faster. The ending also hit me much harder than I expected. I related a lot to Allie trying to support someone who is grieving and having absolutely no idea what the right thing to do is. The helplessness, the anger, the frustration of watching someone you love suffer while knowing you can't fix it (and sometimes wanting to smack some sense into them, but still wanting to be the best version of yourself for them, even if that means discarding your own boundaries and happiness) felt painfully familiar. I wasn't expecting that kind of emotional gut punch from this book at all.Basically, I came for the asshole manwhore becoming the rebound and stayed for him falling hopelessly in love and then unexpectedly making me feel things.4.5 stars. Very, very close to a 5.

Dean et allie sont des personnages assez rigolos. J'ai aimé le fait que ce soit Dean qui court après allié et pas l'inverse. Le fait de ne pas avoir des personnages féminins cruches dans cette saga est assez appréciable.

THANK GOD FOR THE ADAPTATION! didn't expect it at first, but I really didn't like this book. The plot, dialogues and storyline were cringe and gave me the ick so many times; also, the plot twist (the part that was supposed to be a very touching moment in the story) was wasted.
