説明

Vera grew up in an environment where filth was the norm, her childhood marked by a suffocating stench and a chaotic mess that surrounded her every day. The disarray of her home, a disturbing backdrop to her formative years, shaped her into a complex individual who grapples with the remnants of her past. The narrative delves into the psychological impact of her upbringing, exploring how the dirtiness of her surroundings seeped into her psyche, fostering insecurities and deep-seated fears.

As Vera navigates adulthood, she struggles to reconcile her past with her present, striving to escape the shadows of her childhood while battling the grasp of inherited habits. Her journey through self-discovery is marred by the lingering effects of her home life, where the stains of her upbringing refuse to fade completely. The raw and vivid descriptions invite readers to confront the ugliness that is often swept under the rug, forcing them to question the ties between environment and identity.

Through vivid storytelling filled with emotional depth, Vera confronts the duality of her existence—a yearning for cleanliness juxtaposed with the chaotic remnants of her upbringing. The path she walks is fraught with challenges, and each step serves as a reminder that some stains, both physical and emotional, can be incredibly difficult to wash away.

The slob3.5stars Disturbing,Sickening & Repulsive I would have rated it higher if only I wasn't bored for the first 40% of the book.Again, I absolutely love the images that come with Aron's books. For me it makes it even more revolting and a little more fun to read. This is my 2nd Aron Beauregard book (1st was through the eyes of desperation, literally my fav!) Anyway I went in with high expectations.I think I need to scrub my brain after reading this… this book will stay with me forever, there is no erasing what the hell I just read. I don’t think a book has ever made me feel physically sick, until this one. It was disturbing and all types of fucked up! BUT I couldn't put it down, I sped through this. Yes, it's a short book but I am a slow reader and read it in one sitting.
