Touch is Ferguson's debut novel and the first book in the Yeshua series, which features a fresh look at the origins of Christianity through the eyes of a Roman soldier. Touch chronicles the life of Ararat through his early years and his training in becoming a Roman officer. When Pontius Pilate asks Ararat to go undercover, he hires himself out as a slave to the Jewish High Priest Caiphas. Caiphas, in turn, asks him to spy on the inner circle of a new, troubling messianic movement?enabling Ararat to witness first-hand the miracles and message of Jesus.
