With Trailers, Michael Basinski engages in a Joycean celebration 
offloOwering. As he 'gave up and just repeated again and again singing 
softly, deeply with his eyes closed', the language bloomed past the 
letters, numerals, wingdings, webs and crickets into a dream language of 
the 'noise for active space'. — derek beaulieu Michael Basinski is the Curator of the Poetry Collection of the University at Buffalo. He performs his work as a solo poet and in ensemble with BuffFluxus. His many books include his BlazeVOX titles All My Eggs Are Broken and Gerald A Critical Introduction. Among his other 40 titles are Poems Popeye Papyrus (Slack Buddha Press) and Of Venus 93 (Little Scratch Pad).
