レビュー
I enjoyed this book so much. Maybe because I'm a sucker for super heros but this was unexpected. Such an incredible experience with very quick pacing
Another blind book. My 7 year old daughter actually picked this one for me, simply because the wrapper was her favorite color. I honestly wasn’t really looking forward to reading it. Even though I like sci-fi movies, it’s not typically what I’d choose to read. But I was so pleasantly surprised with this book! A different kind of hero/origin story.
Overall:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Format: Audio & PhysicalCharacters:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Plot:⭐️⭐️⭐️Atmosphere:⭐️⭐️⭐️Writing:⭐️⭐️⭐️Pacing:⭐️⭐️⭐️Thoughts: This was an interesting read. Definitely different than her later books, but still enjoyable. I really enjoyed the ending. Quote:“Plenty of humans were monstrous, and plenty of monsters knew how to play at being human.”
Ay, cómo me gustan los libros de loquitos. Estuvo interesante todo el tiempo, no hubo ni un momento aburrido. Me encantó la dinámica entre Eli y Victor😩😩
vic and eli are really interesting takes on frends to enemies, eli is so morally corrupt i adore him
I am speechless. This was advertised as pure enemies, but I didn’t think that meant both of them were psychotic. Victor and Eli are sadistic, power consumed, inane, intellectual psychopaths and their villain arcs molded together was an experience you just need to read for yourself. This book left me shivering, gasping with a hand over my mouth, screaming into my pillow, and staring at the ceiling when it was over. AND THE SUSPENSE. It gets intense in the last 100 pages—I was itching to pull hair out when V.E. Schwab deprived me of that final reveal. This book will have you questioning the view behind villains and the thought process that goes in their brains. Morality is not present in any of the characters which makes it even more interesting. 5⭐️ unlike anything I’ve read before. The best example of “we learn what it is to be good or evil. A hero or a villian. A saviour or a lost cause. But what if the only difference is who’s telling the story?”
Las ganas de llorar de felicidad que me dieron al terminar el libro
I actually give it about 4.5 stars but good reads doesn't do half stars so here we are.I really enjoyed this!! I tried to start it immediately after adsom, which was a bad idea because, although it's the same author the story is completely different and I couldn't get into it straight away, so I read something else in between and then came back to this and I'm so glad I did!! I love Victor and Mitch and Sydney, their dynamic is brilliant and I can't wait for vengeful!!2025 reread: 5 stars perfection i love victor vale
To be honest this is one of my few 'never finished reading' books. I TRIED to get into this book, I LOVED A darker Shade of Magic series Schwab wrote, but I can NOT get into this. It jumps from the past to the present so much that I can't get a feel for the characters and leaves me feeling like I am on a roller coaster and not in a good way.
