説明

Killian

I hate obscure school rules. Especially the one that says siblings have to room together after a tragedy. Now I'm stuck sharing my dorm with my stepbrother, and I have no idea how either of us is going to make it to the end of the school year without offing the other.

Just as I'm getting used to having Felix around, someone else tries to off him, and now my cousins and I have to figure out who's after him, and why. We might not like each other, but Felix is family, and that means he's mine to protect.

Felix has always annoyed the hell out of me, but now he likes making me angry. And unlike most people, he isn't afraid of me when I'm angry. There's also something else between us. Something wild and addictive.

Something I've never felt before.

I've always known there's more to my buttoned-up stepbrother than meets the eye, but it isn't until we start a game of gay chicken that I realize just how similar we are.

He should know better than to start a game he can't win, but if that's what he wants, then game f*cking on, bro.

Wicked Games is the first book in a new dark romance series set at an elite, invite-only college, and is an animosity-to-lovers story between stepbrothers who have more in common than they think. You can stepbrothers, animosity to lovers, a double bi-awakening, roommates/forced proximity, hurt/comfort, fighting as foreplay/mild primal play, dirty talk, bratting, their version of gay chicken, a protective MC, morally ambiguous heroes, not-so-secret societies, and lots of spicy times as these two stepbrothers realize that in some games, everyone's a winner.

I honestly enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was a fun read, and it was really easy to grow attached to Felix and Killian (and the twins too, because they were absolutely adorable).I really liked watching Felix and Killian's relationship develop. They went from not being able to stand each other, to caring about one another, and eventually falling in love, and it was genuinely nice to see that progression unfold. I do have to admit that the Dom/Sub dynamic usually isn't one of my favorites, but it didn't bother me too much here. The one thing that kept pulling me out of the story a little was how they constantly called each other "brother," especially during the spicy scenes. I mean, maybe that was part of the appeal for them, I don't know, but I already know they're stepbrothers—you don't have to remind me every five minutes. Since incest themes aren't something I particularly enjoy in books, there were definitely moments when it got a bit annoying, but I was still able to enjoy the story overall.I also liked the plot and all the mystery surrounding Felix. It kept me interested, and I think it was handled pretty well in the end. But if I had to pick my favorite part, it would be the family dynamic. I loved seeing everyone make Felix feel loved and supported when he needed it most. And the twins... honestly, every scene with them put a smile on my face.Overall, this was a really enjoyable read for me. There were a few things that didn't completely work for me, but the characters, the relationship, and the family dynamic made it absolutely worth it. It also left me wanting to continue with the rest of the series.
