Continuing his fascination for numerical structures and the absurdist logics that underpin all orthodox ordering, Peter Greenaway has a new fiction called simply GOLD which ironically investigates the origins of 92 gold bars manufactured from gold appropriated from the victims of The Third Reich from 1930 to 1946. Each one of these 92 gold bars end up at the very end of the Second World War in Bolzano, a city in Northern Italy that has a reputation for not being able to cook a good dish of spaghetti.
