A Penny for Luck

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a trip to New Orleans for some much needed R&R. That was the plan.

Stopping in Memphis for a night of partying, I awoke to find I had no memories of the night before, another woman had joined us in bed for the evening, and a demon sat in the hotel’s bar, wanting to talk.
With a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other, the demon had good news and bad news. After some drunken shenanigans, Natalie had been tricked into selling her soul to the Devil, but he offered me a chance to win her soul back. All I’d have to do is find a coin, an enchanted penny that brings its owner a world of good luck.
But with one flimsy lead, finding it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. And to add to my problems, I’m not the only one looking for it.
Thomas Dietrich and his girl Natalie are back in 1950s Memphis for Book 3 of D. Alan Lewis’s genre-bending series, Voodoo Rumors.
