Es un libro con una historia muy compleja y difícil, lo reconozco. Sin embargo, los personajes se me hacen anodinos, simples y sin capacidad propia de acción. Es como si no existiera emoción o pasión en la historia. La historia de amor es bastante superficial y no ahonda lo suficiente en los pensamientos de la pareja, cosa que hubiera estado muy bien.Por otro lado, en ocasiones el lenguaje es demasiado técnico y científico, con frases muy largas y rebuscadas, así que en muchos aspectos no he entendido gran cosa.Y para ser una historia con tantos protagonistas y mundos relacionados entre sí, acaba dejando cabos sueltos por ahí que hubiera estado bien explicar mejor.La parte que para mí ha estado mejor ha sido toda la trama referente a "Anterworld", tal vez porque se me hacía más fácil de seguir y de entender.Y por cierto, no he sabido en ningún momento por qué se llama "Arcadia" el libro. No se hace mención de dicho término en ninguna parte del relato. Intuyo que tiene que ver con el término "Arcadia" que usaban en la mitología griega para referirse a una sociedad utópica y pastoril, pero no estoy 100% segura.Es un libro complicado de leer y aunque la historia es buena, falta emoción, pasión, un poco de identidad a los personajes.Definitivamente, me quedo con Tolkien y su Tierra Media, por mucho que digan.
Loved it. A great example of speculative fiction. I really liked the premise of what the machine can do. A very satisfying read.
