I'm sorry but TikTokers need to stop writing books based on their sketches and I need to stop trying to read them.
As with any 'BookTok' book, the writing is cringe and the plot is boring.
I didn't get very far into the book but I could not continue reading it.
It took me a little while to get into this one, although oddly for me, I switched to audiobook after 30% and found myself absorbed in it (I'm usually the opposite way round!). I loved the banter between villain and assistant and how she stumbles into his world, turning it upside down. I enjoyed trying to figure out who the person on the inside was and seeing how the relationships between several of the characters changed as the story progressed. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in book two and this time will start with the audio.
Estou relendo o livro pela segunda vez, afim de obter mais detalhes da obra, uma vez que na primeira vez não conseguia me conectar muito com o gênero fantasia. Mas isso mudou e agora consegui extrair o melhor que o livro tinha a oferecer. Finalizo essa leitura emocionada e ansiosa para dar continuidade na trilogia. E esse casal me emocionou, mesmo lembrando de vários acontecimentos, ainda derramei algumas lágrimas, em especial nos últimos capítulos. Para mim eles são os melhores! melhor casal de todos. Aqui não é só a história de um intercalando com outro, ou então um precisando do outro para sobreviver dentro da trama, aqui cada um tem sua história, seus traumas, suas dores, seus motivos, e ambos se completam.
This book really shows you the importance of perspective. I liked how the book didn't take it self so seriously. It was funny, easy to read and had some tense situations. Which made the book very entertaining. The banter between the villain and Evie was also very entertaining.
Eu tava com muita expectativa para esse livro e as minhas expectativas foram atendidas! Eu achava que ia demorar na leitura e eu realmente demorei, não lembro quando comecei esse livro, mas não foi esse ano e nem sei se foi no ano passado.\n\nA leitura foi MUITO engraçada para mim, o surto da Evie, o sarcasmo do Vilão, eu fiquei feliz que tivemos representatividade por aqui, também gostei que ficou alternando entre o pov dela e dele.\n\nJá comecei o segundo, e tipo assim, a leitura foi uma maravilha para mim, o plot twist eu fiquei gag, o meu queixo caiu! Eu nunca em todos os meus anos de leitora teria imaginado que seria aquela pessoa, acho que ninguém imaginou!\n\nÉ uma leitura bem envolvente, bem divertida, bem engraçada, eu recomendo demais!
4.5AMO ESTE LIBRO, Evie se convirtió en una de mis protagonistas femeninas favoritas al momento. Ese final me dejo contenta porque creía que podía ser MUCHO peor, ya estoy emocionada por leer el siguiente.
It’s a cute book the characters are well written and the humor is a nice touch. I look forward to exploring the characters and world in the second book coming out this year.
Que livro fofinho, uma vibe bem filme da Disney. Personagens legais, leitura fluida e gostosa. O plot no final eu não esperava, chorei com o que a Evie descobriu sobre o pai, mas eu amei o que ela fez depois com seu antigo empregador aquele babava.

This book was amazing! This book gave me all the cosy feels and had me kicking my feet and giggling pretty much from page one. You can see how this book translates from Hannah's TikTok series and it was fun seeing all her characters come to life and learning more about their pasts in greater detail.If you want a good time, a few laughs and a bit of swooning, then this book is definitely for you!
Went into this expecting a lighthearted tromp through the woods with silly and goofy characters, and got so much more! There were secrets to uncover and twists that keeps the reader At the edge of their seat. There’s banter, yearning, and a sense of found family that gives a morally grey perspective to a seemingly simple political landscape.
