Atonement

Mankind has avoided mass destruction for now but is still unknowingly in mortal danger. Following the continued atrocious weather, shaman Kamau discovers a mysterious object recently exposed near the Mayan temples of Mexico. In one of the Egyptian pyramids at Saqqara, archaeologist Adjo Tumaini makes a seemingly impossible discovery. Meanwhile, personal circumstances force American astronaut Amelia Heart to track down the Sterlings, but new adversaries are also gunning for the family in an attempt to discover the truth of incidents three months ago. As the vindictive pursuit of the Sterlings and their new body guide Torr Bryce follows them to Mexico, teenager Lora Sterling is forced to rely on her kindred spirit and increased telepathic powers to face the biggest challenge of her young life. But as all these events come together in the depth of the Mexican jungle, the personal misfortunes of the Sterlings are subsumed in the shocking discovery of the subtle but relentless attack on Earth from extra-terrestrials. A hero needs to come to the fore, but whom?
