Blue Atomic Skies

It is 1953, one week after the coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second and the tentacles of the Cold War reach into the lives of everyone. Phyllis, a ten year old schoolgirl, through force of circumstance lies about seeing a missing nuclear scientist believed to have stolen vital atomic secrets and sets into motion of chain of events that is to affect the inhabitants of the the town. The respected town doctor, a man with a hatred of lies, dissembling and pretence finds himself doing the very things he detests and a local policeman, desperate for promotion, finds his loyalty to his superiors tested to their very limits.
