Strange writing. The dialogue is so unnatural, the characters all sound like the same, no one's motivations make any sense, the lust is all over the place, none of the conversations are genuine, nothing happens for a good 85 percent or more of this book other than each scene just restating the premise in different ways. Didn't even care about the ending. I don't like or care about any of these people. Hardly any actual world building. I don't understand the reasoning for any of the dystopian aspects. I really wanted to love this, but ugh, what an oddly written book.
Daggermouth was an intense, addictive read from start to finish. The story blends dark fantasy, danger, and romance in a way that keeps the tension high on every page. What really stood out was the chemistry between the characters. Their dynamic is charged, complicated, and full of sharp banter and emotional depth, making every interaction feel meaningful. The darker elements of the story add weight without overwhelming the romance, creating a balance that makes the book hard to put down.If you love dark romantasy with strong characters, high tension, and a story that pulls you in completely, Daggermouth is absolutely worth the read. I finished it already wanting the next book.
Everything I look for in a dystopian novel was in this book! Hatred, symbolism, cunning, strength, and so many virtues that reside within a desire for freedom and self expression. There are layers within society, secrets and hidden agendas that spur the conflict between powerhouses of a political system. Which hand will come up on top?
