Warner, the complex figure she once thought she understood, is far more complicated than she imagined. His dark past intertwines with Juliette's own struggles, revealing layers of vulnerability and hidden truths. In a landscape where trust is scarce, the two must confront their feelings amidst the dangerous schemes of their enemies and the relentless pursuit of power that threatens their very existence.
Juliette's journey of self-discovery is fraught with emotional turmoil as she battles not only external forces but also her inner demons. Every decision she makes could lead to freedom or destruction, forcing her to confront what she truly desires. As she learns to trust herself and those around her, she uncovers the strength she never knew she had.
Amidst the backdrop of a dystopian society, questions of loyalty, power, and love unfold. Juliette's struggle is not just for survival; it is a quest for identity and belonging in a world that seeks to tear her apart. The stakes are high, and with every page, the intensity escalates, drawing readers into a meticulously crafted narrative that leaves them yearning for more.

โญโญโญ/5I expected it to be boring and eventful but it was the complete opposite. Knowing Aaron's point of view on what happened and his feelings towards Juliette was a beautiful thing to read. Aaron warner the man you are
This was a very sad read Important though because you finally feel sympathy for the vilain while realising that he is not the worst
It was fun knowing what was going on in Aaron's mind but..yeah, it could be better. Also, it's kinda boring because like Juliette is not in the book at all, it's just Aaron with his father, but I like how in love he is with juliette and his dreams about her and the fact that he misses her, kinda cute.

Set after Shatter Me and before the sequel, Unravel Me, Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45. Juliette escaped from The Reestablishment by seducing Warnerโand then putting a bullet in his shoulder. But as we learn in Destroy Me, Warner is not that easy to get rid of... Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warnerโs father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his sonโs mistakes, itโs clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow. In my review of Shatter Me, I said that I didn't particularly like Warner's character but that I hoped that would change as I read more of the books. I'm glad I decided to read the novellas as they add more insight to the story. Do I like Warner now? Not quite yet. But do I understand now why he is the way he is? Definitely. When I said in my previous review that Warner had some major daddy issues, that was the biggest understatement of the century. I still feel bad for him cause he just seems severely messed up by his parents. In this book Warner gets the look into Juliette's mind that he so desperately wanted. But I don't think it's what he expected. This little insight into Juliette's mind was heartbreaking. Just knowing that the way she's been treated her whole life has affected her mind so much has left Warner devastated and confused by these new emotions that he's feeling. Conclusion: Overall, I really liked this Novella. Seeing Warner's perspective was really interesting and I'm glad people convinced me to include the novellas as I read this series. From what I've just read, I don't think Warner is inherently bad. I think he's just a kid who's parents messed him up and finds it difficult to perceive what's right and wrong because of this. I'm honestly hoping for some sort of redemption arc cause he's such an interesting character.
