4.5/5 Where do I even start with this book. Let me start here: SPOILERS AHEAD...Disquiet Gods took the Sun Eater series and flipped the script completely. I loved what Roucchio did with The Quiet, but it was very hard to conceptualize the warping of time in which he sits. Roucchio threw in multiple dimensions, universes and timelines all twisting and turning like a broken double helix in a single chapter. Completely changed Hadrian Marlowe down to the atoms he was made and created a god from the ashes born in the howling dark... I WAS VERY LOST. Digging into reddit threads to see if I am the only one, only to find out that there is a community that agrees with me. They love it and hate it equally at the same time. Overall Disquiet Gods was a good book, with one book left in the series I have no idea how this story can wrap up.
