Dot-font: Talking About Typography

In line with the first two books in this series, these two new titles focus on typography and the eminent type designer, Matthew Carter. Both titles will track, respond to and engage with the issues and possibilities of 21st century graphic design and typography. Technological advances have changed the landscape of typography, namely in the way that all typographic functions can be executed through digital means. Talking About Typography will examine this development by contrasting long-established typographic traditions with the recently digitized elements of typography. The dot-font series are small, inexpensive books that compactly illuminate their respective subject matter. They are written and illustrated to be accessible for the layperson, but contain examples and insight sure to intrigue the most experienced designers.
