In the second volume of Dragon Ball, Goku, Bulma and the team are close to finding the last Dragon Balls, and Bulma getting her wish. How will the dragon ball quest end?I didn't particularly like this volume. I only reread it because I had it lying around and needed to catch up on my reading challenge. Again, reading it the second time around, I didn't really enjoy it either.I feel that Toriyama ended the dragon ball quest way too soon in the story, and it really left a lot of... "oh is that it?". The quest was the main story line and to see it end so quickly really was a kick to the teeth, it was what I wanted to read this for, and to see it end as it did was really just. Bleh. I didn't really enjoy the story line of this one at all, but the art work is still pretty spectacular. The art work is the main reason I keep revisiting this series, just because I love it so much. It's unique, especially in manga, and plenty of mangaka have taken inspiration from Toriyama's style. I feel like there could have been a lot more done with this one, and it was a shame for it to end as it did. That's all I really have to say.
