All Ellen Harper wanted in life was to get over that damned, unwanted divorce. She tried, God knew she tried, but when her dark side showed up, things got ugly and people got hurt. Even burying herself in her Forensic Tech job hadn’t helped much.
After her latest indiscretion, her Captain, Big Harv Patterson, had warned her to keep her nose clean and whip the inner demon or else she’d be sweeping the streets.
But that wasn’t the only demon in Ellen’s life. Someone was kidnapping and killing young women in Chicago, leaving a calling card like no other that set off a race against time that threatened to cost her everything.
