설명

Ezekiel Summers navigates the complexities of a life marred by a singular incident that left him scarred, both physically and emotionally. The son of a preacher, he grapples with the weight of expectations and guilt stemming from the event that cost him an eye, a constant reminder of choices made in haste. As he struggles to find his place in a world that seems to shun him, his journey of self-discovery takes unexpected turns that force him to confront his past.

Meanwhile, Cyrus Porter, born into a world fraught with socio-economic challenges, battles his own demons as he strives to break free from the limitations imposed by his upbringing. Their paths intersect in a tumultuous dance of fate, leading to a tumult of emotions and the possibility of redemption. Themes of forgiveness, identity, and the pursuit of understanding unfold as these two young men traverse their intertwined fates in a gripping narrative that explores the depths of human resilience.

First of all, a big thank you, Mila Crawford, for paying so much attention to the details and presenting Persian culture in an amazing and honorable way I really enjoyed listening to its audiobook and it was the main reason I started it at the first place in addition to the fact that the main female character is Persian.I agree that it's not a book that everyone is looking to read or like because of its genres, however, to me it was the best book I read, and as my first experience,e I enjoyed it a lot.the other reason that I started this book was the Iranian Persian culture that mentioned regularly in a unique way. the characters development was perfect I mean the writer wrote the chapters in a way that you can read the present and past, which gave me a great way to get attached to each character and finding out why their behaving like this or you know what happened to our lovely 3 men. it's not the normal romance books you see on booktok; I felt that in addition to the smut parts between these four people there was an invisible link, emotionally between characters and the thing that surprised me was the fact that each 3 men fell in love with her soul and not her body at the first place. (anyway, I still can’t figure out how to manage loving them equally. Come on girl, it is so hard.)Now about the story itself, the pace was really good; it wasn't too fast or too slow. There was a way in the writing style that motivated me to read more and fill myself with information about them. to be honest it doesn't have any special plot twist(right, don't expect someone out of nowhere come and just kidnap that girl and the 3 men start a mission to rescue her, not exactly like the normal romance books) it has some plots about their stories but not the one you think based on the previous romance books you've read. I really want to know if the writer has a Persian boyfriend or friends around her because the culture that she presented was exactly the same as its original, and at some point, I thought that I was in the middle of a Persian family. she really did a great job at presenting Persian culture to the world in addition to mentioning what happens to girls and women during the evolution and how they are starting to rise again, against the people that tried to cut their wings and take the freedom from them; so as a Persian again, I'm so grateful for this book and the writer who wrote everything based on real events and mentioning every Turning Point in Persian culture.(Compared to other books, now that I think it is 3 stars.)
