Honeyโs Helpful Hints was adorable and the fact that this beautifully illustrated book is dedicated to the authorโs late Golden Retriever, Honey had me emotional before I even began.
Blending Brian Mosesโs story of Honey and her doggie neighbour, Jimmy the poodle with Claire F. Lewisโs illustrations; this is an engaging story for four- to ten-year-olds that has an underlying lesson about the importance of recycling. Though if you ask Jimmy and Honey about saving water by not having to have a bath after a good muddy walk, they would be the first to show how utterly selfless they are.
I loved this little book. Brian gives the dogs funny, quirky voices that will entertain both adults and children. I only wish my children were still young enough for me to read it to them, as they would have loved it. I hope it finds a place in every library, where children can learn about recycling while laughing at these lovely dogsโ escapades.
