Lizzy is a single solvent independent woman. She is university educated and a professional in her 30's. She has a teenage daughter, whom she parented by herself. She is confident and successful with all aspects of her life, apart from her perfect partner. Lizzy missed out on the party genre of her teens and 20's and is now trying to make up for lost time. She has lived a single life for the majority of her adulthood. Lizzy longs for a husband, but tries to suppress her desires for fear of disappointment. The story follows her dating experiences and details frank expressions of the society she lives in. Desperate to find that person, she places an ad in the lonely-hearts column. Engaging in new romances, she slowly discovers her real need to be loved.
