Introduction to the Devout Life (St. Francis de Sales) - Audio Book CD

This towering classic of the spiritual life has become a must read for anyone who desires to grow deeper in their union with Christ. St. Francis De Sales was Bishop of Geneva in the 17th century. Not only was he immensely successful in combatting the Calvinist heresies that were sweeping Switzerland, but he ministered to the spiritual needs of all his flock - from the nobles to the peasants - through encouragement in direction on living the devout life that God calls all of us to. This book is incredibly palatable, not only because St. Francis De Sales is a Doctor of the Church and a writer gifted with clarity, but also in that hearing the words of the saint one is captivated and inspired. While listening, you will think that it is the Bishop himself giving you the instructions on the devout life.
