Even though A.M. Homes is supposed to be one of the best YA authors of her time, I really felt that the writing was juvenile (even for YAs), didn't stay on topic but rather skipped around and came back to them at random times. It did deal with several topics that YAs would be interested in reading, but they weren't really conducive to the point of the book. I doubt I would have liked it even when I was younger.
