Kingfisher Blue

'I started out like you. Bit of rubbish. And look at me now...A young man, he don't have no one to blame but himself if he don't make something of his life'
Winter on a crumbling South London estate. Denny's up to his neck in toilets; his hopeless apprentice Elvis is about as useful as the pot-noodles he subsists on. Elvis's mate Ally has come up with a can't-lose-get-rich-quick scam that might just save their bacon. And Cooper may have big plans for the karaoke bar - but can he really compete with 'Posh and Becks' night down Mandy's?
Just four London lads, doing their best to keep afloat, with big plans for getting on; but things take a serious turn for the worse when Ally and Elvis's money-making plan dangerously backfires.
Kingfisher Blue is an urban tale of stuffed weasels, avocado sandwiches and dreams of escape. It premiered at the Bush Theatre in May 2005.
