4 stars, but I did like this a tiny bit less than [b:Kushiel's Dart|153008|Kushiel's Dart (Phèdre's Trilogy, #1)|Jacqueline Carey|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1328168291l/153008._SY75_.jpg|2990010].I continue to have a good time reading about Phèdre running around the world trying to find Melisande and ruin her plans for world domination. Phèdre does end up in some truly harrowing ordeals, but most of the time she's so competent at being who she is, she's able to talk herself out of it or have sex to get out of it. After a while though, I was itching to get her reunited with Jocelin especially as they’re separated for a pretty big chunk of the book. I do wish we got his perspective of his experience while Phèdre goes missing, I had a hard time believing their conflict affecting their relationship just disappeared after they're reunited. Absence makes the heart go fonder and everything but I'm hoping this gets touched on in the next book.Once again, I was up until 4am reading this and I can't wait to see if I get any sleep when I get to the last book of the trilogy.
