설명
Sephy is a Cross - a member of the dark-skinned ruling class. Callum is a nought - a 'colourless' member of the underclass who were once slaves to the Crosses.
The two have been friends since early childhood. But that's as far as it can go. Against a background of prejudice, distrust and mounting terrorist violence, a romance builds between Sephy and Callum - a romance that is to lead both of them into terrible danger . . .

A heartbreaking romance that put me in tears. I was reading it in class, and I burst into a sob in front of everyone. It's so interesting that you get sucked into it and just can't stop reading. Despite the tragedy, it warmed my heart to read of Callum's sacrifice, and if i lost my memory, this book would be the first for me to read! It's what got me into the romance genre in the first place, and if i had never read it, i doubt i would ever pick up a book, so for that, I have no negative comments.
Malorie Blackman’s Noughts & Crosses series is a powerful and emotional exploration of racism, injustice, and forbidden love, set in an alternate world where societal roles are sharply reversed. Through the story of Sephy and Callum, and later generations affected by their choices, themes like prejudice, privilege, and the lasting impact of oppression with honesty and intensity. It has bold characters with intense emotions challenging society.
