설명
In a poignant exploration of identity and loss, a Filipino-American teenager grapples with the death of his cousin in the Philippines, a tragedy that weighs heavily on his conscience. Struggling with guilt and the sense of disconnection from his cultural roots, he embarks on a journey that challenges his perceptions and ignites a deep desire to understand the circumstances surrounding his cousin's untimely demise. This quest leads him back to the heart of the Philippines, where the realities of life, death, and the socio-political landscape become heartbreakingly clear.
Through vivid storytelling and rich character development, the narrative delves into the complexities of family ties and the impact of systemic issues on individual lives. As the protagonist confronts difficult truths, he not only seeks justice for his cousin but also discovers what it truly means to belong. This coming-of-age tale captures the essence of youth, resilience, and the haunting shadows of grief that shape one's path toward self-discovery.
